I've only recently moved in to a property connected to this proposal on Easterly Road.The scheme/proposed plans just seems a botch up (similar to the chaos caused on Harehills Road)!!! Can the grass verge between the dual carraigeway not be utilised to create a bus lane (similar to the A64 York Road) rather than penalise existing residents as the proposed hardened grass verges are insufficient.Forcing residents to park in their drives at ALL times will no doubt also create an unnecessary risk to padestrians walking up & down Easterly Road.Also expecting residents to reverse out of their drives with vehicles travelling downhill at 40mph or alternatively attempting to reverse in to their drives is an accident waiting to happen in my opinion. I fully appreciate the need for making public transport better/more convenient in Leeds but the current proposals are definately not the way forward. I sincerely hope the decision makers liase fully with ALL the residents concerned prior to committing to any proposals as we are the ones to suffer the consequences........

The proposals seem to be a sensible compromise with the parking restrictions to improve the flow of traffic on Easterley Road and retaining parking provision for those properties that do not have driveways by provision of the reinforced grass verge,

The majority of the congestion is from the 3rd lane on the right to make a right on to Harehills lane. The dual carriageway doesn’t break in to 3 lanes soon enough. Therefore 2 sets of traffic are often packed into one lane until the Fforde green lights.
